Nanook Baby Blanket
Nanook means polar bear in Inuit. The blanket shows a mother bear with her adorable cubs. One cub, riding the mother bear, is worked in contrasting colour using Intarsia technique. A second cub, in frolicking position, is worked in the same background colour.
An alternative easier option without intarsia is to knit the whole blanket in the same colour as the background. In the latter case the yarn usage remains as 4 balls, and the contrasting colour yarn is not needed.
Yarn Usage:
4 balls of Rowan Pure Wool Superwash Worsted in Aqua (456)
1 ball of Rowan Pure Wool Superwash Worsted in Ivory (101)
