Level 2-Advanced (angle stitches)

Are you feeling Naughty or Nice this holiday season? Either way, you’ll love making this festive mosaic crochet blanket pattern featuring a whimsical Santa Claus at the center of the design — complete with twinkling eyes, rosy cheeks, and just a hint of mischief!

This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet. Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you’ll be a pro in no time!

If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-mug-rug-2 This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.

Written for Mosaic Overlay Crochet, this pattern includes:
• Charts
• Written Pattern
• Detailed Instructions packet
• Stitch Key
• Photo tutorials
• Video tutorials for each type of stitch used in the pattern

This pattern is divided into 6 sections (5 pages each) and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions for the charts if you prefer to print out your pages. The written pattern sections correlate with the charts so they can be used together. I have also included a full chart on one page for those who wish to use Knit Companion (or similar technology) without all the page breaks.

Special thanks to Anita Schadeck and Kathy Gleich for testing this pattern.

The instructions packet and video tutorials should answer any questions you may have. I also have a Facebook group dedicated to answering questions and building community around my patterns. Please join us! Sign up for my newsletter for exclusive offers and never miss a sale!
