Navelli
Navelli is a relaxed lightweight summer sweater, knit in the round from the bottom up and featuring colorwork at the body hem and folded sleeves with a tiny peek of contrast color for visual and structural interest. The front and back are separated at the armholes and worked flat with short row shaping at the shoulders. Named for an ancient town in Italy, known as the land of crocuses and saffron, this sweater is the third in my “Knitaly” series of designs (following Tegna and Marettimo).
This sweater is designed to fit with 4-15” of positive ease, depending on your preferred fit. Sample shown on is a size 4 with 13” of positive ease at the bust and 2” of positive ease at the sleeve. Please see the schematic for full fit information.

Note! Needle size is suggested only, you will need to swatch to determine the needle size needed to achieve gauge. Some knitters may need to use a larger needle to maintain an even gauge over color work and plain stockinette, so make sure to swatch both!

Sizes:
Measurements given are for the finished garment. To pick the correct size you should measure yourself at the widest point of your bust and select the size that has between 4-15”10-38 cm of positive ease, depending on the fit your prefer. For reference the sample in the photo is a size 4 worn with 13” 33 cm of positive ease. It is also important to check the sleeve circumference to ensure the size you select has at least 1” 2.5 cm of positive ease. Pictured sample has 2” 5 cm of positive ease at the sleeve.
