This soft and worm male winter neckwarmer & beanie, with interesting stretched texture, is a combination of 2-color brioche and double knitting techniques. You don’t need a boat or hot air balloon - good navigation with stitch markers ensures success. You can wear both sides, like two different items. It can be worn in several different ways. It’s elegant and sporty at the same time.
You need :
- Skills: basic/intermediate brioche - knitting knowledge; double knitting;
- Needles:
- 16” (40cm) circular needle in US 4/3,5mm;
- auxiliary needle (circular or straight, 3.0-3.5mm), only for cast- on row;
- tapestry needle for weave in ends;
- Yarns – shown neckwarmer is made with:
- 2 different colors balls (~65gr light, ~75gr dark) tightly stranded DK weight woolen yarn – not thinner then 100g/280m (~307 yds), in favorite color combination ( I used Alize, Superlana klasik; color of sand and denim blue);
- 16 stitch markers in two different colors – 3 in color 1 and 13 in color 2;
- for the transformation into beanie - one plastic, wooden or metal (two holes!) drawstring stopper;
Dimension (flat, fixed) – one size XL:
Circumference - 54cm/21.6”, height – 24cm/9.6”
Weight – 140gr
