neji_rib delta is the third pattern in my neji_rib series, and is a cuff-down sock featuring a Strong Heel. The socks are also reversible as the previous series. A combination of 1×1 Twisted Rib and stockinette stitch is on the right side, and a combination of 1×1 ribbing and reverse stockinette stitch is on the reverse side. Twisted ribbing and Strong Heel make a delta-shaped heel. This heel is worked with increases and easy short rows; no need to pick up stitches, wrap and turn, or German short rows. Directions are written for the Magic Loop method. Video tutorial links are included.

The pattern includes options of;
-CO edge: German Twisted Cast On, I-cord Edge
-Toe: Twisted Rib Toe, Stockinette Stitch Toe, Toe-less, and Tabi-toe
-Tabi-toe option is available in sizes 3-6 only.*

-Size customization charts for different weights of yarn and gauges are included. See page 12.
-neji_rib: It is a coined word for “nejiri-me” and “rib”. Nejiri-me means twisted stitches in Japanese.
-Strong Heel is a heel technique invented by Gerdine Crawford-Strong.

YARN
Fingering - Light fingering weight yarn
45-50 g for short length, 60-80 g for crew length, 30 g for baby-child size
Note: The amount of yarn used will vary depending on the leg and foot length, and the option of toe.

GAUGE
33 sts & 44 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette st
41 sts = 10 cm / 4” in twisted ribbing (unstretched)

NEEDLE
US 0 / 2.0 mm - US 1 / 2.25 mm
Adjust needle size to obtain gauge. Sample used 80 cm / 32” circular needle. One spare needle should be available for I-cord Edge.

neji_ribシリーズ3作目となるneji_rib delta は、Strong Heelのかかとが特徴の履き口から編む靴下です。本作もリバーシブル仕様で、表側はねじり目のリブとメリヤス編み、裏返すとねじり目ではない普通のリブと裏メリヤスの面を表側にして履くことができます。ねじり目のリブとStrong Heelの組み合わせにより、かかとは三角州のような形になります。このかかとは増目と簡単な引き返し編みのみで作ります。（拾い目、Wrap&TurnやGerman short rowsは行いません。かかとの角に穴も開きません！）編み方は輪針のマジックループ式に合わせて説明されています。動画解説のリンク付き。

-履き口: German Twisted Cast On, I-cordの縁。
-つま先: ねじりぶ、メリヤス編み、トウレス、足袋型。
-足袋型のつま先のオプションは、サイズ3〜6のみに対応。

-neji_rib (ねじりぶ)は、ねじり目＋リブを組み合わせた造語です。
