Description:
This hat is an everyday go to hat even if the weather is sunny it may still be cold outside. So having a neutral base with some pops of colour makes this a happy hat.

Purpose:
This hat was a way to use up stash so the yarns listed are substitutes. The original yarns were DROPS Snow and Rico Fashion Gigantic. However any chunky yarn with the same gauge can be used. One of my testers used Yarn Bee from Hobby Lobby. If you are using a substitute yarn ensure you swatch first.

Special dedication:
The pattern is dedicated to the Oncology team at Northwick Park Hospital, London as a big thank you for their help and care during the pandemic, which has created havoc for those who were ill prior to Covid. It’s a way to contribute directly to the team, under the London Northwest Healthcare Charity (Charity number: 1083634) as 50% of the proceeds will go to their fund.

The hat was not destined to be a pattern; but now means so much, as a special person wore this hat during their hospital visits. I wanted to create a legacy to remember one of the sweetest souls that ever walked the earth, as well as thank the medical team who looked after them.

The aim of the pattern is to encourage knitters of all levels and those who want to start knitting, as knitting is good for sufferers and carers alike.
