Newport is a comfortable and feminine sweater with a high neck. It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly.
We start the yoke with the collar then the back and the front are formed by increases along a shoulder line and short rows. The back and front are then worked back and forth separately to the bottom of the armholes and then joined together to knit the body in the round. The sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round.

YARN: this sweater is knitted with a lace and a fingering weight yarn held together : approximately 515 (545 - 600) 635 (690 - 745) 830(920 - 990) 1105 yards or 470 (500 - 550) 580 (630 - 680) 760 (840 - 910) 1010 m of each yarn.

MATERIALS: Needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 (ribbing) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 5 stitches markers.

NOTES : the pattern is knitted in MO’Soie and Pump Sock color Newport Beach from Les Arts textiles du Tesmicouata.

Recommended ease : 2.25 to 4.75 inches or 6 to 12 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.

Newport est un débardeur confortable et féminin avec un col cheminée. Il est tricoté de haut en bas sans couture.
On commence l’empiècement par le col puis le dos et le devant sont formés par des augmentations le long d’une ligne d’épaule et des rangs raccourcis. Le dos et le devant sont ensuite travaillés séparément en aller/retour jusqu’en bas des emmanchures puis rejoints pour tricoter le corps en rond. Les mailles des manches sont relevées puis travaillées en rond.

ECHANTILLON : 21 m x 28 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm en jersey avec les aiguilles 4.

LAINE : Le pull se tricote avec deux fils tenus ensemble : un fil de type lace et un fil de type fingering. Environ 470 (500 - 550) 580 (630 - 680) 760 (840 - 910) 1010 m de chaque fil.

MATERIEL : Aiguilles suggérées n° 3 (côtes) et n° 4 (corps et manches), une aiguille à laine, câbles et 2 petites épingles ou bout de fil pour mettre les mailles en attente et 5 anneaux marqueurs.

Le modèle est tricoté en Plump sock et Mo’soie coloris Newport Beach des Arts textiles du Temiscouata.

Il est conseillé de le porter avec une aisance positive de 6 à 12 cm. Pour choisir la meilleure taille, mesurer le tour de buste et ajouter l’aisance souhaitée, puis choisir la circonférence de buste finie la plus proche de ce nombre.
