No Frill Lace Shawl
I love working with lace weight yarn, but most traditional lace shawls are a bit too flowery for my taste. I wanted something elegant and timeless, so No Frill Lace Shawl was born.
Knitwear is not just for the cold months of the year. It can be useful in the summer too. On the hottest days, when you are wearing as little as possible, you sometimes enter a place that is heavily air-conditioned. In those moments, a lace shawl, which takes up next to no space in your purse, can save your shoulders from catching a chill.
Pattern info:
Instructions are both charted and fully written.
Using one 600 m skein of laceweight yarn is enough to create a shawl that generously covers your shoulders. If you have a smaller or larger skein than my 600 m, the pattern is easy to adjust to make either a smaller or a larger shawl.
Needle: 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle 100 cm / 40’’ or longer to accomodate large number of stitches.
4.5 mm / US 7 needle for bind-off.
Yarn: Zitron Filigran (100% merino; 600 m / 656 yards per 100 g / 3.53 oz skein)
1 skein
or
Pipa Yarns Merino Single Lace (100 % merino; 800 m / 875 yards per 100 g / 3.53 oz skein)
or any similar yarn in lace weight.
Yardage: 510 - 550 m / 560 - 600 yards

pins.
