Style is not about money – it is about being clever.
We all have the ubiquitous stash of leftovers – those 30-75 (or more) yards of something that you can’t bear to ditch. This is one of three “No Left-overs” patterns designed to make the highest and best use of these semi-skeins. They need happiness, they need a purpose – and you need to save cash and feel creative.
This is another cowl patterned after the Russian Wedding (interlocking/rolling) Band rings. (See also: No Leftovers – Russian Wedding Band Cowl)
YARN: You can use 30 -75 yards each of 3 or 4 colors. These were all knit with Cascade 220 100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 220 yards = 100 grams. Probably any DK or worsted weight will work. You want approx. 4 – 4 ½ stitches to the inch to achieve a circumference of 21+ inches. Raid your leftover stash! If you have less – make shorter (less high) bands – there are no rules.
The pattern calls for a size 10 - 6 mm circular needle.
Hand felting directions included.
