The pattern includes written and charted directions, both of which have been test knit.

1 skein Shepherds Wool Worsted.
5 stitches and 7 rounds = 1 inch in reverse stockinette stitch with larger needles
US4 + US6 needles Samples were knit with 32”, magic loop style
Finished Size : 21 x 7 1/2 inches, and a little stretchy.
Larger: Malabrigo Rios with US5 + US7 (at 4.5 stitches and 6.75 rounds per inch)
Finished Size : 22 1/2 x 8 inches, and a little stretchy.
