Armed with chunky baby alpaca, Mags Kandis designed this cowl for the ultimate luxury around an exposed neck. Mags chose simple Fair Isle patterns that she worked in charcoal and ecru, then she added contrasting French knot accents and a crocheted edging at the top for a splash of unexpected color. To prevent the extremely drapey fabric from flopping open at the top of the cowl and exposing too much of the wrong side of the knitting, she added contrasting braided ties near the upper edge that help snug the tube in place.
