These mittens were designed thinking about what I remember as a true winter. Trees heavy with snow, skitracks in the snow, Frosty nipping at your nose!
These are, however only memories, winters today are mild, unpredictable, and mostly ice.
However, I feel this traditional mitten pattern represents the childhood winter I so dearly remember.
