Nordic Wintering Mittens
The Nordic Wintering Mittens are striking colorwork mittens with full liners, designed to keep your hands and wrists properly toasty in the cold. They feature a long cuff and fun to knit colorwork with no long floats.
Worked in the same motif family as the Nordic Wintering Beanie and Cowl, they hold their own or round out the set when you want everything to match.
CONTRUCTION/NOTES
The mittens start with a Provisional Cast On. First the colorwork mittens are knitted, along with the thumbs. After this, the Provisional Cast On is unraveled and the liners are knit in the opposite direction. Before decreasing for the top of the liners, the thumbs are knitted. The liners are perfect to use up all kinds of leftovers. Thumbs are worked with a gussetless (forethought) thumb opening.
