Nordica Cowl
by Beth Nielsen
Inspired by Fair Isle knitting, this cowl features beautiful crochet colorwork and extravagant texture. A lofty one-ply yarn, such as Malabrigo Merino Worsted, provides warmth and body for this cozy accessory. The cowl is crocheted in the round in a tube shape so there’s no wrong side.
Notions: Marker (optional); tapestry needle
Gauge: 16 hdc = 4” (10 cm) wide and 20 rows (1 rep) = 6.75 (17 cm) tall.
Notes: This cowl is worked in joined rounds, right side always facing. Do not fasten off yarn at each color change, instead, carry colors that aren’t currently used up the wrong side of the fabric.
