Hat is worked from the bottom up in the round. Switch from circular to double pointed needles (or preferred method for working small circumferences) when working the crown shaping, when the stitches no longer fit comfortably around the circular needle.

Only a small amount of the 2nd skein of the MC is used. to make this hat with 1 skein of MC work only 2 1/2” of the brim then continue the pattern as written.

16” US 2/2.75mm circular needle for ribbing
16” US 3/3.25mm: circular needles for hat.
A set of 4 or 5 US 3/3.25mm double pointed needles for crown.

1 Stitch marker, tapestry needle.
