Not So Girly Scarf
The “Not So Girly Scarf” is a triangular scarf pattern that increases on one side only. The use of minimal open space helps breakup the double crochet rows. Also the use of front post double crochet gives the scarf texture without being to overpowering.
This pattern has been tested using both 8ply and 4ply cottons using a 4mm hook. Although you could try this pattern with other yarns I can’t give an accurate overall meterage and size. Please use the details below as a guide.
Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply Cotton app 260grams (630m) was used. The final measurements were 82cm - 145cm (straight edge of last row - starting point to end row on the non increasing side). I used 3 different colours so still had enough of each ball left at the end for other projects.
Dahlia 4ply Cotton app 190grams (740m) I used 2 balls of this yarn. The final measurements were 75cm - 138cm (please refer to above reference).
Terminology for this pattern is US
Stitches used:
chain
double crochet
front post double crochet
single crochet
Though this pattern has been tested human error can still occur. If you notice anything that’s incorrect please contact me so I can make amendments.
