As a knitter of almost twenty years, I have been modifying patterns for a long time but have never created one myself. Through TKGA’s Certification for Knitwear Designer program, I have gained the skills necessary to design my own patterns, the first of which is the Notre Beret.

Named after André Le Nôtre, who laid the groundwork for the Champs-Élysées in 1667, the Notre Beret evokes a sense of sophistication associated with one of the most famous streets in Paris. The pinstripe design elevates outfits with a simple, Parisian-chic aesthetic while the decreases on the back create a dynamic visual. Crafted from lightweight, 2-ply wool, this beret has a beautiful drape and feel. While the pinstripe design may look complex, the only specialized stitch in this pattern is a central double decrease.
