Inspired by the art movement for which the pattern is named,
these socks pull together stitch patterns reminiscent of the
sinuous curves found in nature. The asymmetrical pattern
placement allows the sock to hug the curve of the lower leg.

Nouveau Socks are worked from the top down with a heel
flap and gusset construction. The cables open into the
hourglass pattern that continues down the heel flap and across
the top of the foot. The stitch count difference between the
cables and the hourglass sections create natural calf shaping.

Always slip stitches purl-wise with yarn held to wrong side.

Charts are worked both in the round and flat. When working
chart in the round, read each chart row from right to left as a
RS row; when working chart flat, read RS rows (even numbers)
from right to left, and WS rows (odd numbers) from left to right.
