These cabled hand knit fingerless mitts are perfect for busy fingers!
This simple push-on no-thumb design is quick and easy to knit, making it the perfect project for a new knitter wanting to explore cables!
The lush cable pattern that decorates the outside of these reverse stocking stitch mittens is easy to knit! You will just need to know how to work a simple C6F and C6B.

Separate detailed instructions are included to knit these fingerless mittens either:
FLAT AND SEAMED on a pair of SINGLE POINTED NEEDLES/ or IN-THE-ROUND on DPNs of FIXED CIRCULARS
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
1-3 years, 4-7 years, 8-12 years, Teen/Adult S, Adult M/L
Age / Circumference flat-stretched / Length
1-3yrs / 11- 13cm / 12.5cm
4-7yrs / 13-15cm/ 14.5cm /
8-12 yrs / 15-17cm / 17cm
Teen / Adult S / 17-20cm / 18.5cm
Adult M/L / 19-23cm / 20cm
The mittens shown here have been knitted in Milla Mia Naturally Soft Aran Merino and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran.
Choose these yarns or any other aran (US Worsted) weight yarn that recommends 5mm (US8) needles.
You will need
20 (30, 40, 50, 60) gm Milla Mia Naturally Soft Aran Merino
1 pair of 4mm (US6) single pointed needles / or 5 X 4mm (US6) dpns (or fixed circulars if preferred)
1 pair of 5mm (US8) single pointed needles / or 5 X 5mm (US8) dpns (or fixed circulars if preferred)
1 X cable needle 5mm (US8)
Darning/tapestry needle
