Occidental Butterfly Shawlette
This pattern was originally published as a collaboration with Wonderland Yarns & Frabjous Fibers for the May 2022 Garden Society Blossom Club. It was inspired by the Great Occidental Butterfly as described in Volume 5 of “The Naturalist’s Miscellany” by George Shaw published in 1794.
The shawlette is knitted bottom up and the pattern includes both charts and written instructions. It is appropriate for the Advanced Beginner or Intermediate Knitter. The pattern includes two special stitches which have written instructions. Knitters should be comfortable with cables or willing to explore tutorials to help guide them with the basics of cable stitches.
