This pattern uses only single crochet stitches, so a beginner would be able to do it. Even though it is easy, the finished product looks a lot more complicated than it is! The yarn is crocheted double stranded throughout for strength.

The size of the finished bag is 12 inches x 7 inches x 13.75 inches high. You can fit a lot in this bag!

I used Patons Hempster for this bag because of the hemp and cotton content, and because of the rich, vibrant colours. It is available online through yarnspirations.com. I used 2 skeins of each of the 4 main colours (Sepia, White Sand, Surf and Deep Ocean) and 1 skein of the contrasting colour (Coral). You won’t have a lot of the Sepia left, but you will have some of the 3 other main colours and lots of the contrasting colour left…enough to make a phone sling or two. This bag may not be the cheapest to make, but let me tell you, I have had more complements on this bag than I have on any other ones I have made! (I’ve also had my coworkers tell me this bag would make a great gift hint hint lol.)
