Pattern Description from Cast On, November 2009-January 2010: “The following pattern is a watch cap with small variations: a rolled brim with a patterned band and cabling to the top of the crown. It starts the decreses sooner to eliminate the gathering at the top. It is also shortened so that it does not cover the ears. If you want it to cover the ears, repeat Rounds 1-8 of the chart as many times as desired before moving on to Round 9.”
