Inspired by the moment when you watch the waves ebb and flow along the sandy shore, as they try and reach your feet. Oceanview is a delicate, soft crescent — a combination of colour and shaping that adds a little depth exactly where it’s needed. You can knit this shawl in one, two, three colours or more. Let your yarn inspire you!

Yarn: 400 (650) yds / 366 (594.5) m fingering weight yarn that achieves gauge, divided as follows: Large- MC 360 yds /329 m, CC- 290 yds / 265 m. Small with MC- 110 yds / 100 m, CC1- 180 yds / 160 m, CC2- 110 yds / 100m. Samples knit in Hedgehog Skinny Singles. Large uses MC Glacier and CC1 Damp. Small also uses CC2 Budgie.

Needle Size: US size 4 / 3.5 mm long circular needle for holding a large number of sts, plus US 7 / 4.5 mm needle for binding off. Notions : Tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers, blocking wires

Gauge: 22 sts = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will alter yardage and finished measurements).

Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner

Please Note:
Small Shawl - 3 colour version is knit with final pattern shaping
Larger Shawl - 2 colour shawl was knit to the original pattern, its edging increases and main body have been adjusted slightly
