There are lots of knitting patterns for horizontally striped hats but surprisingly few patterns for vertically striped hats. This pattern uses more yarn than most ODDknit designs (as a human-sized hat it kind of had to) but think of each section of the pattern as a separate knit and it’s still good for using up odds and ends.
