This tunic showcases a lightly variegated ribbon yarn. The yarn’s colors and textures display differently in the lace and stockinette sections, adding visual interest. A twisted cord belt allows the wearer to easily adjust fit and length.

SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate: Skills include reading charts,
lace knitting, short rows, and seaming. See
Techniques section beginning on page 146 for a
photo tutorial on working short rows.

Shown in size S with +2 1/2”/6.5 cm ease. Intended to fit with -2”/5 cm to +3”/7.5 cm ease at bust.

PATTERN NOTES
• Worked sideways in four pieces, from center
front and center back out to sides
• Instructions for lace panels are given in
written and chart form
• Because all edges are self-finished, new yarn
is best joined not at edge of piece, but at
transition from stockinette stitch to lace

CUSTOMIZING FIT
There is no waist shaping, so tunic length
is easily changed: add/subtract stitches to
stockinette stitch section and/or repeats to
lace section.
