This puppet pattern is knitted flat and seamed. The Body is worked first – in one piece to the armholes, before being divided to work the front and back separately. The head is worked in 3 pieces, including an inner lining piece, which allows you to stuff the front of the head.
You may find the sewing-up easier if you slip the first stitch of every row.

This issue is on sale from 12th November in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK and on our website. It will also be available digitally via our apps for Apple and Android devices and through Pocketmags here.

Errata
Every pattern in Knit Now is checked thoroughly before going to print. Unfortunately however, a couple of errors have slipped through in the instructions for Sooty’s head.
Some extra text has found its way into the instructions for the front of head. Ignore the first 3 rows and start with the second “cast on 18 sts”. In the same section, on rows 33-43, where it says “ssk” it should actually say “sssk”.
