Ôkea
Gazing over the teal waters, I listen to the soothing lullaby of gentle waves. The sea breeze carries the smells and sounds of the ocean. In the salty air, I feel a sense of freedom and adventure. The blue horizon stretches as far as the eye can see, full of possibilities. Waves perform their timeless dance. As I stroll along the water line, I marvel at the sandy ripples and at the rib patterns and colors of seashells.
The Ôkea cowl is inspired by all things ocean. The cowl is named after Ôkeanós, Greek for ocean, a mythological god. Ôkea plays with reversible texture. Twisted traveling stitches and lace draw patterns reminiscent of waves and seashells on the A side, while a wide expanse of lace takes center stage on the B side. Come explore and dive into the vastness of the ocean!
For best effect, use a reasonably round yarn with enough stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to Bulky would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, slightly speckled yarns, or a single skein gradient or self-striping yarn with long color repeat.
