Old Icelander
Old Icelander
I’ve always found a certain allure in the traditional, a beauty that transcends the modern fads and trends. My latest goal has been to design a sweater that not only embodies tradition but also whispers the tales of our forefathers. It’s a sweater that some might find boring, but to me, it’s a canvas for history, a tapestry of stories waiting to be told. I wanted something that echoed the simplicity of an ancestors’ lives.
This sweater is meant to be more than just a piece of clothing; but a piece of history. And when it’s finished, it will be a testament to the beauty of tradition, a reminder that in a world that’s constantly changing, some things are worth holding onto.
The yarn I chose for this project is THE icelandic yarn: Lettlopi.
The color is a nod to Ice and Fire as Iceland is also know as the land of Fire and Ice.
