The hat is worked in 2 x 2 ribbing in the round, bottom up.

SIZE:
This pattern includes 7 sizes: 0-3 mths (3-6 mths) 6-12 mths (2-3 yr) 4-5 yr (6+ yr / woman) man, that are intended for corresponding head circumference of 36-40 (41-44) 45-48 (49-50) 51-54 (55-57) 58-61 cm or 14-15.75 (16-17.5) 17.75-19 (19.25-20) 20.25-21.25 (21.5-22.5) 22.75-24 ’’.
If you fall between measurements, go for the next size up.

GAUGE: 
22 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 ’’] in ribb knitted on 4 mm [US 6] needles in the round, after blocking.
For more precise result swatch in the round on the same needles you will use for the hat.

NEEDLES: 
4 mm [US 6] or size to get gauge (after wetblocking) in following formats: 40 cm / 16’’ length circular needles and double-pointed needles (DPNs) or 80cm / 32’’ length circular needles for Magic Loop method.

YARN:
~100g or 300m [330yds] of sport-weight yarn. Sample knit out of 2 balls of Mongolia3 Fonty (85 % merino wool, 15 % baby yak, 50 g / 150m [165 yds]).

NOTIONS: 4 stitch markers + 1 unique stitch marker (for BOR), tapestry needle, scissors, ruler or tape measure.
