The Oldies is a relaxed fit sweater knitted bottom-up. In the beginning, the front and back are worked separately and joined at the sides. Continue knitting in the stockinette stitch in the round until separating the front and back again at the underarm to start working flat ‘Simple diamond stitch’ panel. After joining the front and back at the shoulders, the stitches for the sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. This sweater is cropped length, but adjusting the body length is simple. Recommended to be worn with 4-13¾″ / 10−35 cm positive ease.

Note: This required amount assumes the length as shown in the pattern, so extra yarn is needed if the body or sleeves are to be longer.

US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles (for hem, body and sleeves), US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles (for shoulder’s rib). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Oldies は, ボトムアップで編むリラックスサイズのセーターです. 前後のヘムをそれぞれ編んで繋げたら, 脇下まで輪で編み進みます. 脇下で前後の身頃を分けてから ‘Simple diamond stitch’ をそれぞれ往復で編み, 肩はリブで仕上げます.
前後の肩をThree-Needle-Bind-Offで繋げて, 袖はアームホールから目を拾い, 袖口に向かって輪で編みます. このセーターは, ゆったりの身幅とバランスが良いクロップ丈のデザインですが, 袖も身頃も長さはお好みで調整ができます.
