This is a classic men’s sock, originally created for the 2009 Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat, features 2x2 ribbing on the leg. The foot has contrasting heels and toes as well as arch shaping. It fits like a glove. Knit at a small gauge the resulting fabric is dense and meant to be long wearing. Go wild with a beautiful, handpainted yarn, or stay classic with a subtle semi-solid. The pattern includes both charted and written instructions for the gusset and arch shaping.

Released at Sock Summit 2009. Available for purchase August 6th, 2009.

Notes:

  • Contrast color is used for the toe only
  • Double thickness yarn is only used for the cast-on to make it stretchier
