The whole scarf is worked double-stranded. The pattern has a 2x2 rib as its main st patt in the middle and a modified rib with stitches passed over as a decorative patt at both ends. As a result, the rows with the modified rib will produce a concertina effect. This will help to shape and define the bow when tied.

This pattern is designed to use up stash, so you can alter the pattern in the middle where the plain rib is and use up more or less of a colour that you have at your disposal, giving you flexibility in terms of colour choice and yardage.

As a delicate bright fluffy creation, the scarf exudes colours of spring/summer, but you can choose your own colours for whichever season you prefer. Due to it’s softness, it can be wrapped around the head to help with hair loss too, which was useful for one of my loved ones. 50% of the proceeds will go to the Oncology team at Northwick Park Hospital, London. As a big thank you for their help during this pandemic, the Charity number is 1083634.
