A garter stitch shawl made up of striped right triangles set at a right angle from each other.

Sizes: Small (medium, large) – approximately 30” wide x 15” deep (54” wide x 27” deep, 80” wide x 40” deep). Sample shown in size medium.

Materials:

  • 1 (2, 3) skeins Alchemy Juniper 100% merino wool; 50g; 232yds) or similar fingering weight yarn for main color (MC), and 1 (2, 3) skeins Alchemy Juniper (100% merino wool; 50g; 232yds) or similar fingering weight yarn for contrasting color (CC). Shown in Dusk (MC) and Gold and Grace (CC)
  • Size US3 (3.25mm) 40” circular needle (or size required for gauge)
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge: 24 sts and 48 rows = 4” in garter stitch before blocking; 18 sts and 36 rows = 4” in garter stitch after blocking.
