The Onde cape is a warm, comfortable and versatile garment, suitable for many occasions, it can be worn over a t-shirt or shirt in the mid-seasons or over jackets and coats in the colder seasons.
The wonderful pure alpaca yarn makes the garment soft, light, cosy and very comfortable.
A mix of different cables and lace stitches decorates and embellishes the upper part of the cape and a sequence of soft braids that gradually thin out softly enliven the lower part.
These cables create small circular and wavy motifs that give the pattern its name.
Worked in the round from the top down. Gradual increases are made in the yoke up to the sleeves that will be put on hold onto holder or scrap yarn and then resumed later.
This way there will be no seams.
The garment has a soft and very loose fit, the neck can be worked either high (as in the photo) or lower based on personal preferences.
In the yoke, some charts are followed that contain the increases. A succession of different stitches offers the opportunity to practice or learn new and different techniques while having fun in the process.

Circular needles 4 mm / US 6

Cast on the neck with the shorter cable and then switch to the longer cable as you increase stitches.
Use 60 cm / 24” for sleeves and 120 / 47“ for the body.

La mantellina Onde è un capo caldo, comodo e versatile, adatto a molte occasioni, si può indossare sopra ad un maglietta o camicia nelle mezze stagioni oppure sopra a giacche e cappotti nelle stagioni più fredde. Il meraviglioso filato in pura alpaca rende il capo soffice, leggero, avvolgente e molto confortevole
Una mix di trecce diverse e punti traforati decora e impreziosisce la parte alta della mantellina e una sequenza di morbide trecce che si diradano mano a mano ne movimentano morbidamente la parte più bassa. Queste trecce creano de piccoli motivi circolari e ondulatori che danno il nome al modello.
Il modello è lavorato in tondo dall’alto verso il basso, si inizia dal collo e si eseguono degli aumenti graduali nello sprone fino ad arrivare alle maniche che verranno messe in sospeso su un filo per poi essere riprese successivamente. Non ci sono cuciture.
Il capo ha una vestibilità morbida e molto ampia, il collo può essere lavorato sia alto (come in foto) che più basso in base alle preferenze personali.
Nello sprone si seguono alcuni schemi grafici che contengono gli aumenti. Un susseguirsi di punti diversi offrono la possibilità di esercitarsi o imparare nuove e diverse tecniche divertendosi nella realizzazione.
