One Love Shawl
One Love was initially released as Joji’s One Skein Mystery KAL for 2025.
The pattern is now assembled into one fully formatted file. You can choose to knit from the finished file or from the clues, if you prefer.
One Love is a simple and romantic crescent shaped shawl, alternating feather and fan sections with squishy garter stitch.
Have fun knitting ❤️
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approx. 68” (170 cm) wide and 15¼“ (38 cm) deep.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein of fingering weight yarn. I used 1 skein of Mechita, by Malabrigo 100% Merino Wool; 420 yd (384 m) in the colorway Ilusión.
You can still make it with 400 yards… but 420 will work better. And if you have more than that, you’ll be able to use them.
This shawl works with any color and type of yarn you want to choose. So no limitations here! It works for solid and tonal colors, but also for variegated, kettle dyed and hand-spun yarns.
It is worked in only one color, but feel free to use colors as you like. Perhaps you feel like striping, fading, marling?
You can also use yarns in a different weight, with a similar yardage (for example: 440 yards of DK). The result will be a bigger shawl.
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) needles. You can use circular ones, at least 32” (80 cm) long, or straight ones, at least 16” (40 cm) long.
GAUGE
16 sts and 36 rows to 4” (10 cm) on US 7 (4.5 mm) needles.
Before measuring, make sure your swatch goes through the same blocking and pinning process as your shawl will.
