The simple lace pattern of the Tie Front Cardigan from Vogue Knitting Winter ’06 inspired this shawl. Combining a strand of lace weight wool + alpaca with a strand of fingering weight wool + silk produces a fabric with subtle color changes and gives this half-circle shawl its ethereal, marled-gradient effect.
