An easy to make cowl with an eye-catching slip stitch pattern in two contrasting colours. Knit in the round, from the bottom up.

The pattern for the matching hat is available separately in my Ravelry store

DK weight yarn in two colours
150 yds / 137 m of main colour (red in the sample)
110 yds / 100 m of contrast colour (black in the sample)

3.5 mm / size 4 dpns or circular knitting needle, whatever your preferred method for knitting in the round is.

25 sts and 34 rows = 4“ x 4“ / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch

Instructions are either charted or fully written.

The pattern might look difficult at first glance, but it isn’t really. Once you have set up the pattern, you will most likely be able to work on this without referring to the pattern all the time, because the colours align in a very obvious way which will make knitting rather intuitive.
