Description from pattern
Lace sock in semi-solid or solid-colour 4ply sock yarn, with multicoloured lace top edge and contrast piping. There are two separate, fully-written patterns for knitting cuff-down and toe-up, and both patterns include options to knit the sock with a small, medium or large number of sts per row. You can further adjust the width of the sock by using one of two needle sizes. That gives a total of 2 sock-knitting methods and 5 width-adjustments. Foot length is infinitely adjustable. There is also an option to knit the sock without the lace top edge.

Required

  • Yarn: total 130g/444yd of Wollmeise 80/20 twin sock yarn 4ply in three colours; Yarn A - 20g/66yd of a multi colourway in boldly contrasting colours (for lace top edge); Yarn B - 10g/33yd of a semi-solid colourway (for piping); Yarn MC - 100g/342yd of a semi-solid colourway (for main colour)
  • Needles: 4 dpns for cuff-down or toe-up version. An experienced knitter could substitute a pair of circulars for either version: Metric size 2.25 - 2.5mm for medium or 2.75mm for large; UK and Canadian size 13 (med) or size 12 (large); US size 1-2 (med) or size 2 (large)
  • 3 stitch markers, row counter, smaller dpn/circular needle for picking up sts.
