My daughter Lia has been an enthusiast of handknits since she could open her mouth to say so, and started describing what she wanted me to make her at a shockingly early age. She came up with this dress when she was two, and was very clear about it; orange and green, ruffles at the bottom and the cuffs, no sleeves. Apparently I got it write, she still loves to wear it, even though by now it’s a shirt.
