Rows upon rows of books marching into the distance. This shaw evokes the feel of being in the stacks surrounded by the tall bookshelves with their neatly filed books. Sometimes is gets a little chilly in the library and this is the perfect garment to wrap up in. The spiral shape allows it to sit very securely around the neck or shoulders leaving the wearer’s hands free. The shawl starts with just 2 cast on stitches and grows by both adding new sections and increasing within each section, creating the spiral shape. The lace pattern looks complex but is simple enough to memorize.
