Orchard House Shawl
The Orchard House Shawl is named for the beloved home featured in Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women” - a cozy and modest home where love thrived. The pattern features an all-over texture created with banded repeats of knits, purls, bobbles, and simple lace.
Materials
Approximately 200g (800-840 yards) of fingering weight yarn.
Sample is shown in Woolberry Fiber Co. Berry Cormo Fingering (100% US Cormo; 420 yds/ 100g skein) in “My Favorite Sweater”. This yarn has a slight thick and thin quality to it and the design is recommended for woolen-spun and “bouncy” non-superwash fingering weight yarns. This pattern would also look amazing in hand spun yarn.
Note: This yardage does not include the yarn needed to knit a gauge swatch. If you plan to make a large swatch, please plan to purchase extra yarn.
