Orchard Shawl is a classic, triangular shawl knit in DK yarn. Its beauty lies in a simple double seed stitch body combined with a simple yet elegant lace. The nupps add extra texture to it and keep the knitting interesting.

Yarn: BFL & Masham DK 75% Bluefaced Leicester Wool, 25% Masham Wool; 240 meters (262 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz): 3 skeins;
Or: 720 m/ 786 yards of DK weight yarn;
Sample shawl was knit in Apple colorway;

Needles: 4.5 mm/ US7 circular needles at least 80 cm/ 32” long or needle size to obtain the gauge;

Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm/ 4” in Double Seed Stitch on 4.5 mm/ US7 needles, measured flat after blocking;
Gauge is not important for this project but it will affect the size of your shawl and the yardage. Make sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.

Other: 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle to weave in ends, crochet hook to knit nupps (optional);

Measurements: one size; measurements after blocking: approx. 152 cm/ 60” wide and 70 cm/ 27“ long;
