Origami
Folding + Paper = Origami - and it’s an antique Japanese paper-art, enabling you to create the most amazing things with a few folding techniques in a square piece of paper. The geometric shapes with clean and sharp lines are very characteristic of Japanese design, and also my inspiration for this ORIGAMI sweater. The straight lines contrast with human soft forms, making an unpretentious, young and relaxed in its style - and for the right look, knit it spacious and cozy …
The pattern is in 6 sizes, and the finished garment measures:
Length: 25.5”(65 cm) / 25.75” (66 cm)/ 26.25” (67 cm)/ 26.75” (68 cm)/ 27” (69 cm)/27.5” (70 cm)
Bust circumference : 41” (104 cm)/ 43” (109 cm)/ 44.75” (114 cm) 46.75” (119 cm)/ 48.75” (124 cm)/ 50.75” (129 cm)
Sleeves: 17” (43 cm)/ 17” (43 cm)/ 17” (43 cm)/ 17” (43 cm)/ 17” (43 cm)/ 17” (43 cm)
For the design I have used wool from a little Danish wool-maker. If you like the raw look, similar wool could be the Icelandic Lett-Lopi. If you like it soft and gentle against the neck, I think you should choose something soft.
You need 3 colors:
Color A - 200 / 200 / 250 / 250 / 300 / 300 g
Color B - 200 / 200 / 250 / 250 / 300 / 300 g
Color C - 50 / 50 / 50 / 100 / 100 / 100 g
ORIGAMI is made for women, but the style is very unisex, and can be knitted for men as well. Some will need a little more space in armholes and sleeves, but it is very easy to regulate.
The pattern is available in English, German and Danish.
Special offer - when you purchase 3 of my patterns in the same order, you will have 1 of them for free.
Enjoy your knitting
Thanks
