You decorate the tree, now you can decorate yourself for the holidays with this whimsical double knit cowl. I was inspired by the memory of my mother, who loved a red cowl and kept Christmas well. This piece uses standard and double knit techniques but should be achievable for advanced beginners. The design removes some of the pain points of double knitting like special cast-ons, cast-offs, edges, and shaping. It’s all knit in the round fun!

Please note: This pattern does not teach the technique of double knitting. Craftsy.com has some excellent classes.
