The center front and back are worked in simple rectangular panels; stitches are picked up from those panels to knit the sides and sleeves all the way down to the cuff. With side seams knit of grafted together, little sewing is required at the end. Like many projects in this book, this one is a blank slate onto which you can apply your favorite stitch patterns and color combinations. It’s designed to use up ‘orphan’ balls of yarn in your stash.”

• One pair straight needles size US 8 (5 mm).
