Oscar is a wise owl … you could knit Oscar to use as a bookend, a mini pillow or a cuddly toy. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the owl is knitted in wool/alpaca blend aran yarns (fisherman/worsted/10 ply) on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 4.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 7)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Drops Nepal in shades Camel (two 50g skeins), and Goldenrod (one 50g skein).

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, buttons and felt fabric for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 15cm tall x 16cm wide.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
