The inspiration for these twined knitting mittens came from the region of Östergötland, in the eastern part of Sweden. I have taken parts from a traditional weaving pattern - Östgötadräll - and used a stylized part of the pattern on the back of the hand. On the palm there is an easily knit pattern that makes the mitten a rather quick knit despite the twined knitting technique. I wish you happy knitting!

Double pointed needles: 2.5 mm / US 1.5.

Gauge
34 sts x 36 rounds = 10 cm / 4 inches in
twined knitting in the round, using 2.5 mm /
US 1.5 needles.
Always use a needle size that gives you the
