Small quantity of waste yarn for holding stitches
Stitch markers
Cable needle (optional)

A dense fabric is required to ensure that your mittens are hard-wearing.

PATTERN NOTES
Both mittens and mitts are knitted in the round. The thumb is worked with gusset increases before the stitches are left on hold to be completed later. The cable panel is worked up the back of the hand, and is mirrored on left and right hands. Since the mittens are knitted in the round, all chart rows are read from right to left. The charted cable panel is also provided as written instructions.
