Ouray
Colored as shown, Ouray evokes Native American woven blanket designs. Ouray means “Arrow” and is the name of a well-known Ute chief, whose memory we honor by this design.
There are two methods for making this blanket. The simplest is to work it in blocks that are sewn together. The second method is to work the 8-point motifs separately then knit them together by working shapes in the round.
See the pattern photos for yarn requirements a more construction information.
The pattern contains full written instructions, and step-by-step construction illustrations. Charts (optional) are linked.
