This triangular shawl was specifically designed to show off multicoloured yarns. It mixes a fingering weight yarn with long colour repeats and, in the shawl in the photos, a thin mohair yarn with short colour repeats - the shawl can also be worked using a solid coloured mohair yarn .

The two yarns are knitted together in the body of the shawl. The border is crocheted, using only the mohair yarn.

Yarn quantities for the shawl as pictured:

• approx 435 m / 475 yds of a multicoloured sock yarn
• approx 500 m / 550 yds of fine mohair yarn

The size of the shawl is easy to adapt to the quantity of yarn available. The stitch patterns are simple, so as to let the yarns play the first role, and are interesting for beginners.

Ce châle triangulaire a été créé pour mettre en valeur des fils multicolores.

Il s’agit ici d’un fil type chaussette ou layette “long print” et, dans le modèle photographié, un fil mohair très fin imprimé aussi - le modèle peut également se réaliser avec un fil mohair uni.

Le deux fils sont travaillés ensemble aux aiguilles dans la partie centrale du châle. La bordure est ensuite crochetée avec le fil mohair seul.

Quantités de fils nécessaires pour le châle tel que photographié:

• env 435 mètres de fil à chaussettes multicouleurs
• env 500 mètres de fil mohair

Les dimensions du châle sont faciles à adapter en fonction de la quantité de fil disponible. Les points sont simples, pour mettre en valeur les fils colorés. C’est un projet idéal (et rapide) pour les débutantes.
